This is my fourth year working with Dr. Ann Price and each year she teaches me something new about evaluation. She makes sure that we understand the process, the research that supports it and she helps us work through our challenges to create a meaningful report that we can use to improve our programs and share our successes with our community. I appreciate the patience she has shown with us "non evaluators" and the time she has taken to explain why we need to collect certain data and how that helps us provide an accurate picture of our impact on the families we serve. She stays with us throughout the year, talking us through the next steps we need to take, rather than showing up at the end and asking for data to write her report. That makes a big difference in the way my staff views the work that goes into preparing a good evaluation report.

Community Evaluation Solutions has been involved in every aspect of the Coalition's evaluation  from planning to implementation, and reporting.  Dr. Price has participated as if she were a member of the Coalition while at the same time maintaining a professional approach and asking the tough questions related to our staying true to our mission and goals.  Her thorough understanding of coalition principles and dynamics truly enhances our evaluation processes.

Building upon Ann's extensive familiarity and proficiency of utilization-focused evaluation tools, through a participatory approach, is exactly what the Coalition needs to keep us on track.  Her hands-on approach in guiding the development of our first-year logic model is a prime example of her style and commitment to bring out the best in a client.  Having an outside voice that understood our intent was vital to our process and ensured a comprehensive use of CSAP strategies needed to develop this graphic representation of our goals. The plans and reports developed and written as a part of the evaluation by Dr. Price are reflective of her over-all grasp of the unique challenges adherent to working within a coalition format.  In addition Ann's ability to adjust her approach to meet us where we are and still meet the expectations and requirements of our funder are excellent.
